summer is upon us.

After a couple late winter surprises, the town of Angel Fire is blooming with folks eager to welcome in summertime and all the goodies that follow. With prime location on the Enchanted Circle, travelers and great adventurers alike are flocking to this mountain town for the serenity and abundance of activities calling in the great outdoors!
It has been a great start to the 2019 whitewater season in Northern New Mexico! With an abundance of rainfall and snow-melt, the Rio Grande is flowing smoother than soft serve ice cream. Currently, the river is running at 2,401 CFS and has seen upwards of 4,000 CFS already.
New Mexico River Adventures - NMRA- is sending it down the Rio with some of the best raft trips in the Southwest. Take the Racecourse half day trip for some great Class II & III action- great for the whole fam. Request Josie for an amazing detailed history of the rocks and plant features along the trip. Snacks and water gear are all inclusive on the trip, so don't let the cooler temps scare you away.

Paddle the "Box" for a more extreme experience and take in views of the towering gorge walls on either side of the raft. This trip is known for the Class IVs and Vs.
There are many options for half or full day trips to best accommodate your group on the Rio Grande. NMRA is one of the only rafting companies on the Rio that includes a hot lunch (fajitas on full day trips) and full changing rooms on-site with shuttle rides to and from the river.

The Sicky Sicky gnar gnar.

You may have already heard of this topnotch downhill mountain bike park of the Southwest.
The Angel Fire Bike Park had a gnarly opening as one of the first bike parks to open this early into the summer season. With Demo Daze and guests from all over, the park hosted the Fire 5 Race and hundreds of visitors. Check out the recap here.

The resort has the 4 Pack Bike Park Pass on sale now, and the tickets can be used anytime throughout the summer with no blackout dates. Get the dirt while it's fresh and flowy, build skills on drops, and progress overall as a rider at this #1 Downhill Biking destination in the country.

Take a walk up the mountain.

Sometimes it's nice to just get up and go. Slap on some sunscreen, fill up the Nalgene, and bring the bare necessities along for a climb up the side of a mountain.

The Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range in Northern New Mex hangs along the base of the Rockies and proves to be some of the best earned turns for warming up those hiking boots.

Snatch up these hike-to views of the Angel Fire RV Resort with the pristine Eagle Nest Lake dwelling off in the distance. The RV Resort is a great hub to plant a base camp for all of your Angel Fire adventures.

Plan ahead to book your trip to Angel Fire RV Resort and arrange a shuttle to and from New Mexico River Adventures for your group. Be sure to check the online calendar for fun events and activities planned throughout the summer and call ahead to reserve bikes for a downhill adventure.
